give your tax-deductible year-end gift

Thanks to a $3 million gift from a generous donor, your Millions by Midnight Challenge gift will help unlock the $6 million year-end goal!

Empowering people through your generosity

By giving to World Vision, you can meet the critical needs of today and tomorrow, while also helping children and families address the root causes of poverty by providing access to essentials like clean water, nutrition, healthcare, and education.

Monthly giving: the simple way to make your donations do more.

Monthly giving is the most effective way to build lasting change for children and families. It lowers costs, which means more of your gift helps kids! Plus, your donations will be delivering consistent long-term solutions to help communities become self-sufficient. And while your gifts are changing lives, you’ll get to see the power of your generosity through quarterly impact updates.

sustainability

It’s not enough to simply meet immediate needs. We empower communities, guide them to set their own goals, and equip them so that progress is sustained — and continued — long after we’ve left.

Every second matters

Time is of the essence when it comes to ending extreme poverty — and we aren’t wasting a second to make an impact.

How far do my dollars go with World Vision?

In 2023, 89% of our total operating expenses were used for programs that benefit children, families, and communities in need; just 11% was used to cover our overhead costs (8% fundraising, 3% management and general expenses). Why can World Vision be trusted?

World Vision recently received the Leadership & Adaptability beacon from Charity Navigator, receiving a maximum score of 100! This beacon provides an additional level of transparency to donors from a leading charity evaluator and highlights our leadership capacity, strategic thinking, and ability to innovate and respond to changes in order to achieve our mission. Here’s how we rank on Charity Navigator.

What do you mean when you say “where most needed?”

Your charitable donation enables us to respond quickly in areas of greatest need, helping the world’s most vulnerable children and families. Our local staff work in communities throughout Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas, helping equip people with access to basics like reliable food sources, clean water, education, healthcare, livelihoods support, and emergency relief. Read our Annual Reports for more details on the programs we fund.

How do you decide where my donation is needed the most?

Near the end of each year, money donated “where most needed” goes to underfunded programs in areas where children and families are most vulnerable.

How many kids do you help?

It’s impossible to quantify the ripple effect of our child-focused, community-based development work. But because of our community-focused solutions, for every child you help, four more children benefit, too; and in just five years, together we impacted the lives of over 200 million vulnerable children by tackling the root causes of poverty.

Do kids have to be Christian to receive aid?

No. We help children of all backgrounds, even in the most dangerous places, inspired by our Christian faith — serving every child we can, of any faith or none.
