During this first ever celebration call you will hear from a local community leader and a friendly World Vision team member about the significant impact your contribution has made to the community. We will share with you some new and exciting video footage that has never been seen before. We will also cover the next steps for the community as they move forward to the exciting stage of becoming a self-sustaining community.

Unfortunately, you will be unable to speak to your child during this call. You may see your child included in some of the exclusive new community videos footage. We encourage you to write them a letter here.

The call will take approximately 30 – 45 mins.

Chosen is a new and exciting way to sponsor a child. Chosen sponsorship involves empowering a child in need to choose you from amongst other sponsors.

Getting involved in Chosen is simple. Here’s how it works

1. Upload a photo of you or you and your whole family to the link above on this landing page.
2. We’ll send your photo to a World Vision community where our staff will display your photo along with other new sponsors.
3. Children in the community will have an event and be empowered to choose the photo of their own sponsor.
4. We’ll send you a photo of the special child who chose you as well as a letter from your new sponsored child a few weeks later explaining why they chose you!

Don’t worry if you pass the signup date to be chosen you will still be able to sponsor another child who is in need. We will choose a child from a more vulnerable community especially for you and send you their photo and more information about them and their community. If you have problems uploading your photo, check that your photo is an accepted file type. Accepted file types include jpeg, jpg, files. Unaccepted file types include Tiff files, PDFs, HEIC files, PNG files.

Next, make sure your photo file is small enough to upload. Check that your file is no bigger than 98 MB.

Unfortunately, you cannot choose which country your child will come from with our Chosen Sponsorship. Chosen is a new and exciting way to sponsor a child in one of our new communities.  World Vision selects these new communities based on where help is most needed, often influenced by where poverty is greatest, as well as looking for areas that are under-served by other organizations.
