NBA stars return home to give away school supplies in Seattle with World Vision

SEATTLE (August 20, 2013) – Four Seattle-area NBA players will join humanitarian organization World Vision to distribute school supplies to students in the Rainier Valley and Central District neighborhoods at two giveaway events in the coming weeks.

“The cost of school supplies can be a real burden to families as the start of the school year nears,” said Reed Slattery, manager of World Vision’s Pacific Northwest Teacher Resource Center in Fife, Wash.  “These events are a way that World Vision can help students in our own community start the year off well.”
