Join the World Vision Advocacy Experience Program and become a catalyst for change.

Designed for passionate individuals ages 18 to 30 in select congressional districts, the program runs June 1 to August 31 and equips you with the tools, training, and mentorship to make a real impact as a World Vision Advocate and changemaker.

Congressional leaders need to hear their constituents care about global justice — and that’s where you come in! As a World Vision Advocate in a key district, you’ll help grow an advocacy movement in your community, building vital support in Congress for life-changing work worldwide.

What you’ll achieve

As a program participant, you’ll take actions like these to inspire change in your district:

  • Build a network of advocates among your friends, church, and/or community.
  • Write a blog post for our team.
  • Attend the 2025 World Vision Advocacy Summit in Washington, D.C. to culminate your transformative journey.

The Advocacy Experience Program kicks off in June 2025, with applications open from March 1 to April 30. Spaces are limited, so don’t wait!

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for the program, you must:

  • Be between 18 and 30 years old.
  • Live in a priority congressional district (see FAQ).
  • Be connected in your community through church, school, or volunteering.
  • Commit to the program’s timeline and requirements, including weekly virtual meetings with your regional grassroots organizer, one online learning session per month, reading assignments, and at least five advocacy actions (see FAQ).

You’ll receive personalized mentorship, leadership training, free curriculum materials, and an all-expenses-paid trip to World Vision’s D.C. Advocacy Summit in October 2025.

The application process includes completing an online form, providing your resume and two letters of recommendation. Apply now.

The program begins June 2025 and runs through August 2025, with the Advocacy Summit in Washington, D.C., on October 25–29, 2025, as a capstone experience.

You will need to complete at least five advocacy actions, including a congressional meeting, sharing a social media post, networking within your community, writing a blog post for our Advocacy page, and attending the Advocacy Summit on October 25–29, 2025. You can work out details with your mentor.
