FAQs

We are thankful for your interest and strive to not leave you wondering. You will receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt. Please check your spam folder too.

We review applications nearly every day assessing the strength of fit for a role. Sometimes questions arise on our end, so we message you to learn more. Short-listed candidates are contacted for an initial conversation with our recruiting staff. Moving deeper into our selection process, you can expect to interview 1:1 with a hiring manager. Finalists normally participate in a panel interview where the opportunity to meet additional members of our staff lends itself to a 360-degree view of the role.

Our most valuable resource is our talented staff. Our goal is to fill each vacancy with the right person in the shortest amount of time, so we are fully staffed to move this important work forward.

Most of our jobs require for you to reside in the United States. We are currently registered to employ staff in over 40 states. If you currently do not live in one of these states, you would need to relocate to one of the states we are registered to employ staff in before starting employment with us.

While we do post on reputable external job boards/sites (i.e. LinkedIn, Indeed, Devex, Reliefweb, etc.), World Vision does not outsource its recruitment process to any organization or agency which, through website postings, mass email messages, newsletters, or otherwise, claims to be doing recruitment on our behalf.

Advertisements for current vacant positions will be posted on our official World Vision U.S. career website.

World Vision does not, and will never, solicit money for any part of its recruitment processes including short-listing, interviews, background, and/or medical check-ups.

World Vision is not responsible for such fraudulent correspondence or any loss of money or theft which may result from anyone engaging in any fraudulent recruitment activity.

In addition, please watch for email addresses not ending with worldvision.org.

World Vision and other charitable organizations are occasionally subject to phishing attacks (e.g. scams sent by email, text, mail). These scams often involve agencies or individuals impersonating or claiming to be acting on World Vision’s behalf with regards to recruiting or facilitating the hiring of personnel and can claim to be offering job opportunities and/or make requests for personal information. Please note, we do not extend offers of employment or make requests for personal information unless a candidate formally applies for a position on our World Vision careers site. Other fraudulent requests may include requests to convert funds or requests to forward financial transactions directly to field programs.
