Afghanistan Food for Education post evaluation

The ‘USDA V – Food for Education Project’ operated in 372 schools in four of seven
Districts of Badghis province and one of ten districts of Ghor province from March 2012 through November of 2014. Its interventions consisted of the distribution of monthly take-home rations to target students, training teachers and school administrators, distributing school supply kits, health and hygiene resources and information, first aid kits, Vitamin C and Oral Rehydration Salts, building infrastructure at schools, promoting community outreach and constructing Early Childhood Care and Development centers.

In early 2020, World Vision United States commissioned an Ex-post Evaluation of the Project with aims of examining the extent to which Project interventions had been sustained and the level of education to which FFE participants had reached. It also requested recommendations on future interventions based on the findings.
