Bangladesh Nobo Jatra Project Summary

Nobo Jatra (New Beginning in Bangla), funded by USAID, aimed to improve gender-equitable food security, nutrition, and resilience in southwest Bangladesh. World Vision, together with the World Food Programme (WFP), Winrock International, and three local partner NGOs, integrated interventions in maternal and child health and nutrition (MCHN); water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH); agriculture and alternative livelihoods; disaster risk reduction (DRR); good governance and social accountability; and gender to achieve project objectives. Nobo Jatra was jointly implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief (MoDMR) of the Government of Bangladesh in Dacope and Koyra upazilas in Khulna district and Shyamnagar and Kaliganj upazilas in Satkhira district.
