The project will serve the children, their families, and schools in 285 communities in the Casamance, and will be implemented with technical support from a consortium of partners, including Associates in Research and Education Development (ARED) and Institut Panafricain pour la CItoyenneté, les COnsommateurs et le DEVeloppement (CICODEV), along with Imagine Worldwide, Sesame Workshop, and Virginia Tech. The targeted participants for this project are students, teachers, school directors, members of school management committees, local community members, and government officials from multiple ministries (Education, Health, and Agriculture). This integrated school feeding project accompanies the Government of Senegal (GoS) to reach their goals centered on access, equity, and quality in the Senegalese education system. World Vision is a subgrantee to Counterpart and is responsible for the implementation of the activity on parental involvement in school and reading, the extracurricular activity with girls’ clubs, and specific nutrition, health, and WASH components.
