Supporting the National Response to HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria in Angola Project Summary

The program is aimed at strengthening the national health system and interventions through prevention and health care in order to contain HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria within
a sustainable response.

Objectives:

  • Increase the numbers of persons with suspected malaria who receive parasitological tests in the community
  • Increase the number of persons with confirmed malaria who receive first-line antimalarial treatment in the community
  • Prevent new malaria cases
  • Increase the capacity of the Ministry of Health to conduct entomological surveillance
